A Wonderful Tuscan Home: Our home, Casa Cappellino, is nestled among the Tuscan hills on 2.5 hectares (5 acres). The grounds are lovingly landscaped with ponds, olive grove, vineyard, fruit trees and flowering plants. The property contains two independent stone Tuscan houses that have been beautifully restored to the highest standards and have retained the Tuscan charm with wooden beams, chestnut doors and windows, terra cotta floors and wood burning stoves. The two houses are separated on the property by approximately 200 meters. The homes are designed and completely furnished for intimate, relaxing and comfortable living for all seasons.
An Idyllic Setting: Among the rolling Tuscan hills, we can explore the nearby hills, fields and streams bountiful with wild life, chestnuts, walnuts, mushrooms, rare ferns and wild flowers. The property overlooks a small tranquil village in which its proud residents have lived for generations in their family homes. Straight and elegant cypress trees, mountain streams with rapids and waterfalls adorn this charming little Italy village. Our famous Tuscan restaurant, Il Rifugio, that attracts patrons from Milan and Florence, is within a 5-minute walk of Casa Cappellino.
Accommodations: Both Casa Cappellino houses have been fully restored to the highest possible standard with stone exterior walls, wooden beams, terra cotta ceilings, chestnut wooden doors and windows, terra cotta floors. Both houses are completely furnished for all our needs. The property shares Wifi internet access as well as a washer and dryer located in the lower house cantina.
There are outdoor sitting areas throughout the property where we can choose to spend the time with a bottle of wine on our 'love bench' by the pond, strolling through the vineyard or under the grapevine covered pergola. The upper 2-bedroom house's terrace is completely private and commands magnificent views across rolling hills to the birthplace of Michelangelo and a panorama view of Lama that lies in the valley below. The 1-bedroom lower house's location adjacent to the natural spring and the fantastic pergola provides the most comfortable environment.

The 2-Bedroom Upper House: This house is a charming Tuscan home on two levels. It has two big double bedrooms each with king-size beds. The open kitchen, dining and living area with a wood burning stove are perfect for intimate and relaxing settings. The bedroom room on the lower level opens to the veranda/terrace that commands majestic views of rolling hills, valleys and the beautiful grounds of the property. The upper floor bedroom on the same level as the house entrance, kitchen and living room, enjoys beautiful scenic views as well. The house easily sleeps four in the two bedrooms but can sleep as many as eight utilizing the fold-out sofa and two portable single beds.
The 1-Bedroom Lower House: This house is an equally charming Tuscan home on two levels. It has one large bedroom upstairs with a king-size bed. The open kitchen, dining and living area with a wood burning stove on the lower/entrance level are also perfect for a wonderful Tuscan experience. The house is furnished with everything we could possible need. The house is also equipped with Wife internet access, satellite television, CD, DVD, and mini-disk players with a wide selection of music and movies. The house sleeps 2 although the downstairs sofa could be used for one additional if necessary.
